(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN ACTUALLY ENJOYED HIS BLUE COLLAR PRE-MUSIC JOB

Before Riley Green’s music career took off, he was making a living framing houses, and it’s a job he always enjoyed and would probably still be doing if music hadn’t worked out.  “I always enjoyed carpentry,” says Riley. “I enjoyed building houses and the thought of going to work, and then seeing at the end of the day what you did that day. I always enjoyed that.  And I worked with my buddies, I worked with my dad and my grandpa, so it didn’t really feel like work. I mean, I guess if music never came into play and I was still doing that today I would still enjoy it.”

Riley admits, “It’s a lot more fun when you don’t have to do it,” but he says, “I enjoy that kinda work.”

Fortunately, Riley’s music career is working out quite nicely, so chances are he won’t have to go back to framing houses anytime soon.  Riley’s latest single, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” is steadily climbing the charts while he’s touring all over the country on his own Get That Man A Beer Tour in between opening dates on Jon Pardi’s Heartache Medication Tour.
