(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN ADJUSTED ALMOST TOO EASILY TO PANDEMIC LIFE

CURRENT SINGLE: “If It Wasn’t for Trucks”

For some artists, adjusting to life in the pandemic has been difficult, but Riley Green says, “To be honest with you, it’s sort of scary how quickly I made that adjustment.”

The reason it hasn’t been hard for Riley to adjust to quote/unquote normal life without touring and being on the road is because he says, “I’m not far removed from just being a fan and gettin’ up whenever I want to and maybe doing a little construction during the day.  So, the last two years have been such a blur.  They’ve been amazing and I’ve accomplished things I never even thought I would get a chance to do.  But to fall back into the being at home with my family around and all that, it was super easy for me.”

While Riley is grateful for everything that has happened in the last few years, with as quickly as his career has moved, he says, “It was really a breath of fresh air to get to go home and just kinda be like, alright.  I’m not lookin’ at my calendar going, ‘Where am I at in two days?’  I had time to do things around the house and get these projects done that I’ve been thinkin’ about while I’m on the road and gettin’ to go back fishin’, you know, gettin’ my old truck running, those type of things.”

The time off the road has also given Riley a chance to reflect on all the incredible things that have happened in the last couple of years that he hasn’t had a chance to really appreciate until now.  For instance, he says, being able to do things like “get on YouTube and watch videos of me playing in these arenas with Jason Aldean and 20,000 people and go, ‘Man, I did that.’  It’s really a motivating thing in a career that can be somewhat exhausting at times.  So it’s been definitely a lot of positives in this.”

But make no mistake, Riley is definitely looking forward to being able to return to the road and play live music, like his brand new single. “If It Wasn’t for Trucks.”
