Every kid has dreams of what they want to be when they grow up, and Riley Green admits, “I wanted to be a delivery driver for UPS. I told Mom when I was a kid, I either wanted to work for UPS or be quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.”
Besides the fact that he liked the brown uniforms that UPS drivers wear, Riley says, “Really and truly though, nobody is upset the to see the UPS guy. You go in the barbershop everybody’s happy to see you … you go in the hair salon, you go in anywhere. And I was a driver helper one Christmas and it just reiterated my dreams and aspirations about it because everybody’s so happy to see you when you come in. So, I just thought that’s a pretty happy job.”
Riley might have missed out on the brown pants, but he managed to find another job that makes people happy, and that’s being a country music singer. Based on how fast his debut single, “There Was This Girl,” is moving up the charts, people seem to be very happy with him and his music.
