(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN PICKED UP SOME VALUABLE TRICKS OF THE TRADE FROM BRAD PAISLEY

Riley Green recently wrapped up his time as the opening act on Brad Paisley’s tour, and now he’s headlining his own Get That Man a Beer Tour, and he learned plenty of things from Brad that he’ll take with him as his touring career grows.  Riley says, “You can’t go out with somebody like Brad and not pick up some tricks of the trade, I guess. I mean it’s not a coincidence he’s had a 20-something year career. They put on a great show.”

One big difference for Riley in playing with Brad is that the crowds were much bigger.  “I used to play in front of a couple thousand people and that was a big deal for me,” says Riley, “and we’re playing in front of 20 (thousand). So it’s definitely different to go and play for that type of a crowd and it not feel too big for you. That’s something he plays to that crowd great and you pick up little things like, you know, I never had a catwalk at my shows.  And he goes out there and kind of just makes the room feel smaller because the stage seems so big.”

Brad’s tour was also Riley’s first experience being a part of a major tour, and he says, “I had no idea what all went into a major tour like that. It’s an eye opening moment for us to go out and see kind of what all goes into this. And like I said, I don’t know that I could have learned from anybody better.”

Riley is preparing to release his new album, Different ‘Round Here, on September 20th, which will feature his new song, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
