CURRENT SINGLE: “If It Wasn’t for Trucks”
Riley Green is very close to his mom and dad, and he loves sharing the milestones and successes in his career with them, even if they don’t always know what they mean. According to Riley, “They’ve been really supportive, and watching the last few years I think they’re probably more excited than I am. I don’t know that they understand everything that’s goin’ on up here and what all the deals mean. Then again, I don’t know that I do either, so they’re not too far removed from it, I don’t guess.”
Another endearing thing about Riley’s parents is that they are impressed by the little things. Riley loves that he can be Riley Green the famous country singer in Nashville, but when he goes home to visit his family in Alabama, he says, “They’re just talkin’ about, ‘We heard your song on the radio,’ or ‘The lady at Huddle House’s daughter listens to your music.’ They’re proud of a whole different set of achievements, so it’s pretty cool to go back and see that.”
Riley is set to join Dierks Bentley on the road next month for the Beers on Me Tour, which kicks off on August 13th.
