current single: “DAMN GOOD DAY TO LEAVE”
Riley Green’s new album, Don’t Mind If I Do, features his latest single, “Damn Good Day to Leave,” and a collaboration with Luke Bryan called “Reel Problems,” a tongue-in-cheek song about problems out on the lake while fishing. We wondered if Riley had a chance to go fishing with Luke before they recorded the song.
Riley Green – fishing with Luke Bryan :24
“That was one of the first things we did together, was go fishing at his lake down south of Nashville. And we had a great time. I mean, he’s such an easy dude to hang out with. You know, and him growing up in Georgia, I mean, we grew up the same way, so we immediately hit it off. And probably that fishin’ trip is why he was the first person I sent this song to when I wrote it, knowin’ his passion for that and also the type of music that he likes and touring with him. Those relationships are how these things happen. It’s always really organic and just through friendship.”
