Riley Green has been known to write some emotional songs, like “Numbers on the Cars,” or his most recent single, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” but he’s not much of a crier when it comes to TV shows or movies. “I’m definitely not an emotional guy,” says Riley. “Growing up in Alabama, it was one of those things where my dad worked construction and I would go help him, and if you hit yourself in the finger with a hammer, you might say a bad word but you didn’t cry. You know that wasn’t the way we were raised.”
While Riley can’t remember the last time he cried while watching a very emotional TV show or movie, ever, he says, “I feel like I watch sad movies like that just try to see if I’ve still got a little bit of feelings deep down.”
