(AUDIO) RILEY GREEN’S METABOLISM KEEPS HIM FROM BEING A GYM RAT

Some guys in country music love to work out, but Riley Green admits he does just enough to stay healthy, but he’s definitely not a gym rat.  “I was always a really skinny guy, like, you know, even out of high school I was 6’3”, probably weighed 175lbs, and just real thin.  And I always wanted to be just a little bit bigger so I tried to eat more and take the protein and workout and all that stuff.  And my metabolism is just still like it was when I was 16.”

Since Riley is mostly trying maintain some muscle and stay healthy, he says, “I just don’t put on any weight so I don’t do a whole lot of running and stuff. I’ll go run a football stadium every once in a while. I definitely don’t work out for hours. I’ll go in there and I usually go every day, but I go in and work out for about 45 minutes, until my attention span gives up, and then I go eat something.”

One reason Riley works out is to make sure he has the energy and stamina to put on great live shows, and with his debut single, “There Was This Girl,” sitting in the top 15 on the charts, he’s already got over a dozen tour dates lined up over the next couple of months, with plenty more he’ll be adding throughout the year.  You can see his full schedule and get updates on rileygreenmusic.com.
