Ask just about anyone, and they’ll tell you that Ronnie Dunn has one of the greatest voices in country music. But ask Ronnie and he says, “I don’t think so. And I think me being neurotic about it is almost like, you know, I’ll sit here and talk you out of you giving me a compliment if I’m not careful.”
Ronnie isn’t trying to exude humility, he just has a different opinion of what makes a great voice. He says, “It sounds good to hear those things but I always think that someone who has a really great voice and is a great singer just kind of casually walks up to the microphone and just opens their mouth and it just comes out. To me it’s a struggle. It’s a challenge to walk up there and do it. It doesn’t just come out. I’m over analytical of all of that. That’s one of my biggest setbacks. Maybe I should just try walking up to the mic and singing the darn song.”
You can hear Ronnie’s incredible voice on his new single, “I Worship the Woman You Walked On.”
