Ronnie Dunn has been recording music for almost 30 years, and in that time, one thing he’s noticed a huge change in is the quality of song demos that get pitched to him. He says, “It’s different than how it was in the past. A lot of times, you know, a writer would write a song and you’d get like a real rough, you know, vocal/guitar. Now they’re coming at you like records and a lot of times the demos and guys who wrote the songs are becoming artists. That’s kind of the environment now.”
Ronnie says some of the song demos he gets are so good that he considers it a challenge to try to live up to the quality of the demo with his own version of the song. He did a pretty fantastic job with his latest single, “I Worship the Woman You Walked On.”
