Ronnie Dunn still plays shows with his Brooks & Dunn partner, Kix Brooks, in Las Vegas as part of their residency with Reba, but he admits that it has been an adjustment anytime he plays solo shows without Kix. “I’m more stand and deliver and Kix is obviously much more animated and there’s a lot more going on on stage,” says Ronnie.
Things are a bit calmer and settled during Ronnie’s solo shows. He says, “Not a lot of bells and whistles going off on stage, and obviously too, I mean you’re playing to smaller, more intimate crowds. And I’m good with that. I kind of enjoy that part of it.
Ronnie just released his third solo album, Tattooed Heart, featuring his latest single, “Damn Drunk.” He’ll be returning to Las Vegas for the next run of Reba/Brooks & Dunn Together In Vegas dates at The Colosseum in Caesar’s Palace beginning November 30th.

Ronnie Dunn – adjusting to performing solo :21
“I’m more stand and deliver and Kix is obviously much more animated and there’s a lot more going on on stage so kind of settling things down with a solo deal and doing it like that. Not a lot of bells and whistles going off on stage, and obviously too, I mean you’re playing to smaller, more intimate crowds. And I’m good with that. I kind of enjoy that part of it.”
