Over the years, Ronnie Dunn has witnessed some people dress up like him and his former partner, Kix Brooks for Halloween. He says, “I have some pictures that are classic. I have one of a guy, bless his heart, he comes up to maybe Kix’s waist and he’s dressed exactly like him. It was in Seattle in the early 90s or something. I think I’ve posted it or something at one point. If not, I might go home and do that of Kix and his little brother.”
Back in the 90’s when the brightly colored pearl snap cowboy shirts that Kix Brooks used to wear were popular, Ronnie laughs and says, “They would show up in that stuff. I remember Garth (Brooks) telling Kix one time, I don’t know what you’re getting paid for doing those shirts, but it’s not enough.”
Thankfully the loud shirts are a thing of the past, but Kix and Ronnie are still performing together during their residency in Vegas with Reba. And Ronnie is preparing to release his new album, Tattooed Heart, featuring his latest single, “Damn Drunk.”
