Ryan Follese has spent most of his life making music, first as the lead singer of the pop group Hot Chelle Rae, and now as a solo country artist, but before all of that he had some other interesting jobs.  Ryan shares, “I was a bus boy at a Japanese hibachi grill restaurant when I was in high school and that was a terrible job. I was a tape copy boy at my dad’s publishing company for a couple years.  So that kind of gave me like a cool education in music and also made me realize that is not the job that I want to do.”

One little known fact about Ryan that he doesn’t tell many people is that he has a black belt in martial arts, and he used to give private lessons.  He says, “I taught martial arts privately for a couple of years.  I actually taught, there’s a writer in town, Jeffrey Steele, I used to teach his kids martial arts and I would teach other kids martial arts.”

Ryan’s teaching days are behind him now that he’s had a successful pop career and he’s about to launch his first single called “Put A Label On It,” to country radio.  The song will be on his debut country CD, which will be  released this Friday.”
