(AUDIO) SHANE PROFITT IS ABOUT TO CHECK OFF ONE OF HIS BIGGEST DREAMS ON HIS BUCKET LIST

DEBUT SINGLE:  “How It Oughta Be”

When Shane Profitt met his mentor, Chris Janson, the first thing he said he wanted to do in music was play the Grand Ole Opry.  Tomorrow night (Tuesday 11/1), Shane will make his Grand Ole Opry debut, and get to perform his debut single, “How It Oughta Be.”  Just thinking about standing in the sacred circle of wood that was brought from the original home of the Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, and inlaid into the Opry stage, is a dream come true for Shane.

“Making my Opry debut, it just feels weird comin’ out of my mouth because the Opry is the staple for country music. And to think that eight months ago I was working a city job, and now I’m gettin’ the stand in that circle, it’s absolutely amazing. That’s the biggest honor, as far as I’m concerned, that’s in country music. And just to think about all the great people that have stood in that same circle where I’m gonna get to stand is just mind blowing to me. So, I am very excited and very blessed to be doing it.“

Perhaps the most special people who will be in the audience at the Grand Ole Opry when Shane makes his Opry debut are his two biggest fans, his mom and dad.

“They’re very excited. Whenever I first told ‘em, both of ‘em started cryin’. We have a video on me calling to tell them for the first time, and the thought of their baby boy standing up on that stage, I know how much it means to ‘em, and I’m excited to look out in that crowd and see them sitting there.”

Be sure to check out the new acoustic version of “How It Oughta Be,” that Shane just released on Friday (click the graphic below to listen).
