DEBUT SINGLE: “How It Oughta Be”
Shane Profitt is only 23 years old, but when it comes to country music, he has a love for a lot of the legends, as well as 80’s and 90’s country, which is due in large part to his mom and his sister.

“Any time we would be in the car, my sister, we had an adapter, and my sister would put my headphones in it, cause I wasn’t old enough to have an iPod or anything. And so, she would always share with me, and if we didn’t have that, then she would give me one side of the headphones and she would have the other. And we would always listen to music anytime we were in the car going somewhere. And my mom is like a walkin’ jukebox. As soon as she hears the intro to anything, 90% of the time she can tell you what it is and who sings it, when it came out. And my mom was a huge Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, Conway … All the legends, my mom loves all that kinda stuff. And my dad does too. And luckily, I grew up around all of that, and it plays a huge role into what I am now.”
You can hear a lot of those early country music influences in Shane’s music on his Maury County Line EP, including his debut single, “How It Oughta Be.”
