DEBUT SINGLE: “How It Oughta Be”
Shane Profitt vividly remembers getting one of his favorite presents for Christmas, because it was quite an eventful morning that ended with a bang.
Shane Profitt – Christmas gift moped :44
“My sister was workin’ at Burger King in Columbia, and she saved up and she bought a yellow moped. And she would come pick me up on that moped at the bus stop every day from school. And for Christmas, I wanted my own moped. Christmas morning, I walked in the living room, that moped was sittin’ right there and it was already charged, which was a mistake. You know, you’re a little kid you’re excited for Christmas morning. It wasn’t even daylight yet. It was about five in the morning, and I got on this moped in my house, and I didn’t understand how it worked apparently. And I pressed the throttle and it took off, and I crashed that moped into the wall. There was a big hole in the wall for about two weeks before the drywall company could come and fix it.”
By the way, check out Shane’s new song, “Country Boys,” which he just released on all streaming and digital music platforms. In the infectious, anthemic song, he sings about all the things that make country boys, country boys …
“Till there ain’t no collards for the cookin’, ain’t no catfish for the hookin’, sure is lookin’ like long as there’s Jack and jacked up toys, country boys will be country boys.”
He didn’t include a verse about driving a moped through the living room wall, but maybe he’s saving that for the remix.
