Sheryl crow is a long time resident of Nashville, and although it’s exciting to see how much the city is growing and exploding, Sheryl says, “It’s a little bit bittersweet. My sister’s lived here for like 30 years, and I grew up three and half hours from here. Typically you came to Nashville to do the museums and you went to the Hermitage and you ate meat and three, and it all revolved around country music.”
While Sheryl cherishes her memories of Nashville before the big boom, she says, “Now, obviously it’s just exploding with all this culture, which is really great and fun. And it’s like the foodie town of America. You know, obviously there are a lot more cars now and it’s kind of crazy on the weekends but it’s awesome. I mean it’s still a great place, great place to raise kids, very family oriented and very philanthropic. So as long as it stays like that it’s great.”
Sheryl is preparing to release her latest album, Threads, featuring “Prove You Wrong” with Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris. The album will be available August 30th.
