There is no doubt that Sheryl Crow is one of the coolest rock stars on the planet, and when her dad retired from his job, she knew that if he didn’t find something to excite him and to keep him busy, that he might not be around for very long. So she says, “I handed him a guitar and now he plays in a rock band and they play at BB King’s all the time.
Sheryl jokes that her dad is so cool now that she tells him, “Get over yourself, Dad.”
In all sincerity, Sheryl is glad that her 89-year-old dad has fallen in love with music, because she says, “You have to have something that keeps you wanting to be here.”
While Sheryl‘s dad is busy rocking out at BB King‘s, she is busy getting ready to release her next album, Threads, on August 30th, featuring her latest single, ‘Prove you Wrong,’ with Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris.
