(AUDIO) SOME OF RILEY GREEN’S MOST MEMORABLE HALLOWEENS INVOLVED A LOT OF CUTLERY

Riley Green grew up in Southern Alabama, and he admits that as a kid he was known to get into some mischief with his friends on Halloween. “I feel like the worst Halloween mischief I got into was, we used to fork each other’s yards,” says Riley.

For the uninitiated, forking a yard involves taking hundreds or even thousands of plastic forks and sticking them handles down, tines up into the ground all over someone’s yard. So that the target wakes up to their lawn covered with forks sticking out all over their lawn (see photo here).  Riley says, “Me and my buddies would, like, put a lot of forks in each other’s yard because it takes a long time to pick them up. It takes a long time to put them in there too, but it was the next day that was really the win.”

Riley will be working this Halloween, opening for Jon Pardi on the Heartache Medication Tour in Phoenix, Arizona.  His latest single, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” which was chosen by the fans, is in the top 30 and climbing on the charts.  You can find the song on Riley’s Different ‘Round Here album.
