There may be no more bigger supporter of our military and our veterans than Brantley Gilbert. He has dedicated a tremendous amount of his time and his philanthropic efforts to support them, thank them and celebrate them. He also credits our military men and women with putting his own life into perspective. “I do a lot of interviews and a frequently asked question is, what’s hardest part about your job,” says Brantley. “It’s easy to defer to, ‘Well, spendin’ time away from home.’ That is the hardest.”
But then he thinks about our military men and women, and the time they spend apart from their families, and the sacrifices they make for our country, and he says, “You spend time around these guys and girls who have families and kids like I do, who spent eleven, twelve months at a time away from their families, and I mean, how could that not change the way you look at everything. Make you appreciate the little moments that I do have with my son and my daughter and my wife, and motivates me to keep them even closer than normal.”
Brantley has been working on some new music while he’s been unable to tour because of the coronavirus, which he hopes to share with his fans very soon.
