C2C, Europe’s largest country music festival, is happening this weekend, and for Sugarland it will be interesting, because as Jennifer Nettles explains, “We haven’t gone, to C2C specifically, we haven’t gone as Sugarland. Now we have, before C2C was a thing, we had been over a few times.” And they’ve each been to C2C as solo artists, but this will be their first time to play the festival together, with their new single, “Still the Same.”
The popularity of country music in Europe has definitely exploded since Sugarland was last their together, and Kristian Bush says, “It will be fun to see how far they’ve grown. I know we’ve seen it kind of individually but it will be fun to really catch the echo of people that are fans.”
The three-day C2C festival takes place in in London, Dublin and Glasgow, with about 20 country music artists rotating to each country throughout the weekend, to play for their international fans.
