With so many country music singers having babies these days, Jennifer and Kristian of Sugarland, who are both parents, have some advice, especially for first-time parents. Kristian says, “You’ve gotta turn them over and over and over again until you find the directions. That’s my advice. They’re printed on there somewhere but you’ve just gotta look for ‘em.”
“I think the instructions change as they go along,” jokes Jennifer. “As they get bigger you start to get more information as they stretch.” But now that her son Magnus is five, she is nostalgic for when he was just a baby. Jennifer says, “The newborn phase is such a sweet phase and I just kept Magnus super, super close. I was like an attachment parent. They’re just so tiny and they can’t do anything and they just want to eat and sleep and so do you.”
These days, Sugarland’s baby is their new album they’re working on to release later this year, featuring their latest single, “Still the Same,” which is also the name of their tour that kicks off on May 25th.
