Sugarland just finished recording their new album, which will feature their latest single, “Still the Same,” and they’ve also been playing some live shows ahead of their tour, which kicks off in May, and Jennifer Nettles’ voice sounds stronger and better than ever. When it comes to taking care of her voice, Jennifer believes the key is focusing on her overall health. She says, “Luckily I don’t have any crazy bad vices. I’m not a smoker. I try not to get crazy with the wine. The older I get the harder that is. But for the most part you know, I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. I think just like an athlete or like a dancer when you’re a singer your body is your instrument and your tool. So I have to respect it as such.”
Jennifer is mindful of maintaining her overall health because she says, “I love doing what I do so much that I don’t want to put that in jeopardy. So really just try my best to take care of myself.”
In fact, when Sugarland hits the road this spring, they will most likely bring back their backstage yoga room, which they’ve had on previous tours.
