(AUDIO) SUGARLAND’S RESUMÉS WERE PRETTY RANDOM BEFORE MUSIC

Before Sugarland started making a living full time with music, Kristian and Jennifer reveal they had some interesting and random jobs.  Kristian says, “I directed traffic for a while on road crew, when you have to pull up to a road crew that’s working on the road.  I got a lot of sunburn on that.  And then all the way to the other side, which is maybe the opposite of that job, I was a computer programmer, which is like sitting inside of a cold room and figuring out problems.”

Jennifer did a little bit of everything. “I painted houses,” she recalls. “I worked as a gofer in an art gallery, which was probably the worst one that I had, just because the lady was very mean and I had to tell her so. I was a nanny. My favorite one was being a camp counselor. I did that for three summers and that was probably my most, besides music, my favorite job ever.”

This Labor Day Jennifer and Kristian will probably celebrate the fact that they now make a living doing what they love, and the fact that their latest song, “Babe,” with Taylor Swift, is sitting pretty in the top 20 on the charts.
