CURRENT SINGLE: “What He Didn’t Do”
Carly Pearce is a fan of tattoos, having at least a half dozen of her own. And she understands how meaningful and personal they can be, which is why she is always blown away when someone gets a tattoo inspired by one of her songs. For instance, Carly will never forget meeting a guy who had some of the lyrics from her song “It Won’t Always Be Like This,” off her self-titled sophomore album, tattooed on him. “That was crazy,” says Carly, “and for him to be vulnerable enough to tell his story of addiction and that he overcame that, it’s powerful. And to see that, it was really amazing.”
The significance of someone being so inspired by one of her songs that they would get the lyrics permanently tattooed on their body is never lost on Carly. “It just shows me the power of music, and we can change lives with lyrics.”
