(AUDIO) Taylor Swift Is Thankful For Her Fans When Receiving Award

Taylor Swift was recently honored with the prestigious Pinnacle Award by the CMA and she says it’s in moments like that, that she is thankful for her fans and all the ways they support her.  “I think about the letters that I get from classrooms.  I think about the YouTube videos that my mom sends me of some little girl opening up her Christmas present and it’s tickets to my show and she freaks out.  I think about videos of young girls playing songs on guitar they just learned,” says Taylor.

Taylor admits that sometimes she likes to witness her fans dedication first-hand.  “Sometimes I’ll sit in a position where I can watch people leave the shows.  Not trying to be creepy; it sounds creepy,” she says, “But I will watch people leave the shows and I’ll look at their signs.  And I’ll look at the shirts that they made or I’ll look at—some people cover themselves with Christmas lights just so that we can see them from the stage.  Those little things are the things that flash through my mind when my name gets called, I don’t really think about it being for me, ‘cause they’re the ones who did it.”

Taylor will be spending Thanksgiving this year in Australia, where she is scheduled to kick off her Red Tour down under on November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving.
