(AUDIO) The Band Perry Has Enjoyed The Challenge of Performing Their Sophomore Album Live

The Band Perry have been in Europe with their We Are Pioneers Tour, and one of the things they’ve enjoyed is bringing the songs on their Pioneer album to life.  “It’s been great,” says Reid, “just because we love playing live and being able to add, not only new songs but new fast songs, which are always more fun to play live…  It’s really breathed in a whole new energy, not only for us but for the people who’ve seen the show five, ten times.”

Kimberly says the new material is also fun to play live because it challenges them as artists.  They dug deep during the creative process of recording the songs on the album, like their current single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” and now she says, “Having worked so hard on them, (they) are forcing us to really work hard on the live show. So, it’s funny how we challenge ourselves to grow the songs and the songs are challenging us to grow the show. It’s just really cool to see the fans respond to that.”

The Band Perry will launch the North American leg of their We Are Pioneers Tour on January 9th in Canada.

The Band Perry – new album in live show  :36

Reid – “It’s been great, just because we love playing live and being able to add, not only new songs but new fast songs, which are always more fun to play live. But it’s been great. It’s really breathed in a whole new energy, not only for us but for the people who’ve seen the show five, ten times.”

Kimberly – “We dug really, really deep for the tracks on this record. Worked really hard, but this interesting thing happened. It was like now the songs, and therefore having worked so hard on them, are forcing us to really work hard on the live show. So, it’s funny how, you know, we challenge ourselves to grow the songs and the songs are challenging us to grow the show. It’s just really cool to see the fans respond to that.”
