(AUDIO) The Band Perry Make Success In The UK Look Easy

The Band Perry is in the midst of the European portion of their We Are Pioneers Tour, and based on the fan base they’ve managed to build in places like the UK, some people would say they make it look pretty easy for artists to break in markets overseas.  But Kimberly Perry says, “Well, we don’t even ever say that we’re necessarily broken here.  We always feel like constantly breaking artists and we have so many goals and so many things left to do.”  As far as their success in the UK, they attribute it to physically going there and building the fan base one show at a time. “We spent a lot of time already across the Pond,” says Kimberly.  “I think we went to the UK five times last year.  A couple times for promo and other times just playing clubs.  I know that we started at the beginning of the year with a crowd of 200 and then came back at the end and we had 1500 in London.  It just—for us it’s important to have boots on the ground, if you will, and let them know our commitment to, like Neil said, expanding our music across the ocean.”  Being there allows them to personally promote their Pioneer album and to expose the fans to their latest single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely.”
