The Band Perry will kick off their We Are Pioneers Tour in Europe on November 8th, in support of their Pioneer album, featuring their latest single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely.”  They plan to incorporate a lot of what they’ve learned from all the headliners they’ve worked with, including Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley and they say the most important lessons they will carry with them are the things they learned backstage.  “I remember Tim McGraw was so present backstage and he really taught us a lot about not only of running a classy tour, but we’d always been a fan of Tim McGraw ‘The Artist’.  We became a fan of him as a human being and as a person,” says Kimberly.   She also recalls the great lengths Brad Paisley went to keep things fun and interesting on the road.  “It was like summer camp all the time,” she says.  “He really was big on keeping tour morale high, so in every town he would find a different little party for after the show.”  Ultimately, what they took away from all those experiences is that “They each had their way of making everybody feel welcome on tour and really keeping the backstage fun.  It’s important when you’re doing fifty dates out on the road, so I think we learned a lot, for sure.”

Kimberly – “He did.  He did.”

Neil  – “It was amazing.”

Kimberly – “….like a horse and cows.”

Neil  – “Miniature horses, goats..”

Kimberly – “So you know, they each had their way of making everybody feel welcome on tour and really keeping the backstage fun.  It’s important when you’re doing fifty dates out on the road, so I think we learned a lot, for sure.”
