The Band Perry actually managed to take a little time off around the holidays, and Neil Perry says they started a new tradition in their family. “We actually, instead of buying each one of us gifts, we bought each other memories. So we like each took each other out for a good meal the week leading up to Christmas, so that was really special for us just to kind of relax and enjoy family time.” As sweet as that sounds, Kimberly confesses the real reason they started the new tradition. “Well, here’s the truth of it,” she says, “We were touring up ‘till like the last minute before Christmas, which meant that yes, we were gift procrastinators. So we thought that it just sounded really good to buy each other memories.”
