The Cadillac Three is known as a long-haired, hard-partying, good-time-having band, with rockin’ songs like their new single, “Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys,” but the guys say that might give people some false impressions of them. For instance, when it comes to misconceptions about who they are and what they’re all about, lead singer, Jaren Johnston, says, “Somebody said the weed thing about me recently,” suggesting that he is always stoned, but he says, “I don’t smoke that much weed. Like I smoke a little bit of weed, but just like anybody, pretty much. I think that is a little bit of a misconception, at least for me.”
While people might not expect it, Kelby Ray, who plays bass and steel in the band, says, “We do probably work out more than we give ourselves credit for.”
Jaren agrees and says, “Yeah, we do. We actually are probably in better shape than a lot of the bands out there.”
While they do work out, and try to take care of themselves to balance out the partying, Kelby jokes, “At the same time, it’s not like we’re like Brian and Tyler,” of Florida Georgia Line,” who are known for working out with trainers, doing yoga and even planting their own gardens full of fresh fruits and vegetables.
In addition to their latest single, “Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys,” The Cadillac Three just released another new song called “All the Makin’s of a Saturday Night,” which will be featured throughout the current College Football season on ESPN and ABC.
