Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Three says quite simply, “Our new song ‘Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys’ is pretty much just a party song that we all kind of came up with on the road.”
The song was inspired by some of their crew guys who would say, ‘Hey man it’s time to crack cold ones with the boys.’ It suddenly occurred to Jaren that they should write that song. He says, “We had this music and didn’t really have a lyric over it. And so I just kind of put it on it.”
Jaren laughs when he reveals that even though “Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys” is a pretty simple, straightforward party song, “It took seven people to write this song, which is an amazing thing.”
