When you look at The Cadillac Three, whose debut single, “The South,” is currently climbing the charts, they definitely don’t fit the mold of the typical tight jeans, short haired country singers that they’re competing against. Bass player Kelby Ray likens them to the Outlaws in country music years ago. He says, “If you think back to like, I’m reading Willie Nelson’s Books now … But he brought Waylon Jennings down from Nashville. First time he brought him down Waylon was like, ‘What are you doing … why am I here?’ You know, they were long-haired hippies, so it’s kind of like we’re the next generation of that.”
The Cadillac Three just wrapped up a European Tour with Eric Church and next they’ll join Jake Owen on the road for his Days of Gold Tour, which kicks off March 20th.
