The Cadillac Three just released their brand new single, “Drunk Like You,” and while some people might describe their music as Southern Rock, the prefer “country fuzz,” and they all agree, the thing they love most about country music is the story aspect of the songs. Neil Mason says, “Lyrically that’s the thing that I think we’re probably most drawn to.”
Jaren Johnston agrees and says, “It’s the last genre where you … well, I’m not trying to dis’ other genres, well I kinda am … you actually hear a story a lot of times.
It was the story telling through song of legends like Keith Whitley, Don Williams, Hank Williams, Jr., Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and even Garth Brooks, that attracted Jaren to country music in the first place. He says, “It’s cool to watch people put together those stories and you don’t hear that a lot in other genres.”
You’ll be able to hear The Cadillac Three’s brand of storytelling when they release their debut album, featuring “Drunk Like You,” later this year.

The Cadillac Three – country music resonates CMR :37
Neil Mason – “It’s just the stories, lyrically that’s the thing that I think we’re probably most drawn to.”
Jaren Johnston – “It’s the last genre where you … well, I’m not trying to dis other genres, well I kinda am … You actually hear a story a lot of times. Growin’ up, man, I was always drawn to it just because it’s neat to hear the honestly in some of these people’s stories. Like in Keith Whitley days and Don Williams and stuff like that. Hank, Waylon, all that stuff…Kristofferson. I think that’s kinda what brought me into Country music, is growin’ up hearin’ Garth sing ‘Papa Loved Mama’, you know, ‘Two of a Kind Workin’ On a Full House’. So it’s cool to watch people put together those stories and you don’t hear that a lot in other genres.”
