A lot of artists will tell you that playing dry venues, where alcohol is not allowed, can be a bit challenging, because it takes away the lively party atmosphere that is created when a lot of the crowd is enjoying an adult beverage or two. For a band like The Cadillac Three, whose current single is called “Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys,” playing a dry venue can have a definite impact on the atmosphere of their show. And even though dry venues usually mean the band isn’t even supposed to have alcohol, lead singer Jaren Johnston says, “I don’t care, it can be the driest son-of-a- bitch on the planet, we’re gonna figure out a way to get some stuff in there.”
The band has tried to convince everyone they work with not to book them in dry venues, but every once in a while it still happens without them realizing it, and Jaren says, “We have all had conversations with our management and everybody. We’re like, ‘Listen, we are a party kind of drinking … we sound a lot better when you’ve got a little booze in ya,’ you know what I mean?”
While you don’t have to be drinking to enjoy a TC3 show, the guys believe it’s a lot better when you have the ability to crack cold ones with the boys if you want to.

We’re like, ‘Listen, we are a party kind of drinking … we sound a lot better when you’ve got a little booze in ya, you know what I mean?”
