The Cadillac Three is working on their debut album, which will feature their brand new single, “White Lightning,” and lead singer Jaren Johnston says when it comes to choosing songs to record, one great resource they use for feedback are the younger members of their audience. “The real test is gettin’ out there and playin’ it for kids and see how they react,” says Jaren. “And when they buy a shirt that says, ‘Lookin’ for a Party Like Me’, then they’re into it. You know what I mean? Or you get on your Twitter and you see fifteen hits from a show that there’s a hundred kids there and all asking about ‘White Lightning’ when can they get it. That’s makin’ an impact, so that’s your real research to me.”
Jaren says The Cadillac Three is about halfway done recording their new album, so chances are they’ll be testing out some new material on the road this summer.
