The Cadillac Three’s debut single, “The South,” features several of their buddies singing with them on the track, but lead singer Jaren Johnston admits he didn’t think it was going to happen. “I remember asking Dierks and Mike Eli and Brian and Tyler from Florida Georgia Line if they wanted to come sing on it and they loved the idea . I didn’t think it was gonna work and then the next thing you know those guys are just like, ‘Yeah, tell us when to be there.’” Not only was getting them on the track a lot easier than Jaren anticipated, but he says the recording process was a lot of fun. “That next Monday we were all in the studio drinking whiskey and yelling into the mic at the same time. So it worked out and it’s a great first taste of what The Cadillac Three is all about and we’re excited it’s our first single.”
