(AUDIO) THE CADILLAC THREE WERE HUMBLED BY THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND AND TRAVIS TRITT

The Cadillac Three just wrapped up the Outlaws and Renegades Tour with Travis Tritt and The Charlie Daniels Band and it was definitely an incredible experience for them. Lead singer Jaren Johnston says, “The Charlie Daniels thing is just its own beast because he’s 82 or 83 years old.  The first night we played with them we watched. My mind was blown and I was like, you know, we think that we’re pretty good at what we do in this certain moment in time and genre whatever it is we’re creating, and then you look at that and you’re like wow!  You know the fire that’s still there and like how great the band is.

Not only does Jaren have incredible respect for Charlie Daniels’ career, but getting to tour with Travis Tritt was also somewhat surreal for Jaren because he says, “You watch Travis and it’s like songs that I literally grew up, why I like country music and why I thought it was okay for somebody like me to play country music because of the way that he sings.  And both those bands are huge influences on us.”

The Cadillac Three will spend the rest of their summer on the road, including playing the opening dates of Luke Combs’ upcoming Beer Never Broke My Heart tour.  They’re also working on a new album, which will feature their latest song, “Crackin’ Cold Ones with the Boys,” and will be released later this year.

Kelby Ray – “I mean that’s where we want to be. I want to be 80 doing this with you guys I don’t know if we’ll make it or not.”

Jaren – “Let’s look at, let’s look at 40.”
