Fans of The Cadillac Three have been waiting for their new album for a long time. The guys have been working on it for over a year, but Jaren Johnston says, “It kinda all came together in the last four months, really, of exactly what we knew it was gonna be, once we figured out, kinda, what we wanted and what the label needed.”
Jaren says things really started to come together when they just went into the studio and started cutting songs on their own with the blessing of label president Scott Borchetta. “It was turning out really good and so he has like, ‘Let’s just do it.’ So, we finished it and he put those songs that were on the radio, you know, ‘South’ and ‘Lightnin’ and stuff too, which they, oddly enough, fit in really well too, so, I think it kinda … it all took a stride here at the last four, five, six months ago. We’re stoked with the way it turned out though. Definitely.”
The Cadillac Three’s new album, Bury Me In My Boots, featuring their latest single, “Drunk Like You,” will be available August 5th.
