#1 SINGLE: “7500 OBO”
Tim McGraw just celebrated “7500 OBO,” off his Here On Earth album, becoming his 45th #1 song of his career. The song represents a single slice of the life story that is told through the songs collectively on Here on Earth. “Like, one song I don’t think connects to the next song,” says Tim, in describing what ties the songs on the album together. “They all collectively tell a story.”
The production on Here on Earth is wide-ranging and the themes of the songs are all different, but Tim says, “The only story I think they can tell is sort of the life in passing, in a lot of ways. I think that you can look at it and you can sort of see somebody’s life unfolding throughout the album in different scenarios at different periods of somebody’s life.”
Tim has shared in recent interviews that he is working on new music, and his next single will likely be from the follow-up to Here on Earth.
