(AUDIO) The Mavericks Delivering New Energy and A Truly Live Experience On New Tour

The Mavericks just launched their Mono Mundo World Tour, and for long time fans who wonder what they can expect on this tour, Raul Malo says, “Well, other than a new drum set, I’m sure a couple of spectacular suits by Eddie and Jerry Dale, I think musically when they hear this record they’re gonna hear it live because the record was recorded, pretty much all of us in the same room at the same time. So, that’s what they’re gonna get.”

Eddie Perez is excited to be able to play some of the new music off their new album, Mono, because he says, “We’ve been touring pretty much non-stop for the past couple a years now and, you know, when you get to do as many shows as we do, it’s nice to look forward a new collection of songs, and it lends itself to a whole brand new energy.”

Eddie Perez – “We’ve been touring pretty much non-stop for the past couple a years now and, you know, when you get to do as many shows as we do, it’s nice to look forward a new collection of songs, and it lends itself to a whole brand new energy, and the energy has always been, in my opinion, the X-factor of what this band does live, and in the studio. So to me, I think we don’t really operate in a set sort of, like we’re gonna aim our ship in this direction and that’s what it’s going to be, we kinda leave ourselves a little big open, in a sense that it’s a luxurious part of what we do is that we do live in the moment. So, I think this new collection of songs brings the new energy and I think new energy will be reflected on stage.”
