Justin Moore loves to golf, although he admits he hasn’t done much of it lately because he feels too guilty about leaving his wife at home with their four kids so he can go off and play with his buddies. But when he was playing consistently, Justin was pretty good by his own standards, but his temper wasn’t great. Justin says, “I used to be right at a 10 handicap, which is pretty good for … well, for me it was really good. And when I was that good I got really mad when I hit my bad shots.”
But these days, not spending as much time on the course, Justin says, “I went from a 10 handicap to about an 18 handicap because of more babies and albums and stuff. And it’s funny, because now that I play worse I don’t get as upset. I’m just like, ‘Ehhh, whatever.’ I think I’ve lowered my expectations now. So, I don’t play near as well now but it’s almost more fun to me now.”
Congratulations to Justin, who officially has the #1 song in the country this week with “Why We Drink.” Perhaps he can celebrate with a relaxing game of golf and a few cold ones.
