Delta Rae just released their very powerful and emotional new single, “No Peace In Quiet.” For people who are just getting to know the band, there are six members, Brittany, Ian and Eric, who are siblings, and their good friends, Liz, Mike and Grant. They got their band name from a fictional story the sibling’s mother wrote about a Southern girl named Delta Rae who summons the Greek gods to earth, but Brittany says, “It often is confused by our newer fans who will come up to Liz and I and say, ‘Are you Delta?’ And it’s sort of a running joke, Liz and I will come up to each other sometimes and say, ‘Are you Delta from Delta Rae?’ And she says, ‘No, I’m actually Rae.’ So I feel badly because I think that that’s a very understandable mistake to make.”
“No Peace In Quiet” is available on Delta Rae’s EP, A Long and Happy Life, which they released earlier this year.

Brittany Holljes – “That’s a funny question that you ask because yes, Delta Rae is a girl’s name in this story that our mom wrote and it often is confused by our newer fans who will come up to Liz and I and say, ‘Are you Delta?’ And it’s sort of a running joke, Liz and I will come up to each other sometimes and say, ‘Are you Delta from Delta Rae?’ And she says, ‘No, I’m actually Rae.’ So I feel badly because I think that that’s a very understandable mistake to make.”
