Long before Brantley Gilbert moved to Nashville and got a record deal, he was playing shows in bars and honkytonks and clubs, and roughly 15 years later he says, “At this point in my career, it’s really hard to ruffle my feathers. It’s hard to shake me up. If I fall on stage, I just think it’s hilarious. I just hope somebody puts it on social media, you know. Everybody can laugh about it cause I’m damn sure gonna laugh about it.”
In fact, Brantley once said that if he ever fell on stage and somebody didn’t post a video of it on YouTube, he’d be mad because he’d want to watch it and laugh at himself. But even when it comes to something potentially embarrassing like forgetting the words in the middle of singing a song, Brantley isn’t worried about it because he says, I wrote everything I do, so you’re allowed to forget the words to songs you wrote. That’s in the rule book. So, it’s really hard to shake me.”
