Thomas Rhett’s Bring the Bar to You Tour is named after a song on his Where We Started album that’s all about not having to get out and go to an actual bar or club to have a good time with someone special. You can bring the bar or that vibe to them, wherever they are. Thomas knows about having to improvise when it comes to not being able to actually get out and enjoy a night at the bar. “Yeah, I mean, me and Lauren got real good at bringing the bar to each other during 2020,” says Thomas. I don’t think we saw a bar for a year and a half, and so we got really good at getting creative with date night – whether it was cooking together, watching a movie downstairs, opening a bottle of wine, whatever it was.”
Thomas co-wrote “Bring the Bar” with his dad, Rhett Akins, plus Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Parker Welling and he says, “This song just like, made me smile and it reminded me of the fun that we had to make in 2020, but also turned into kind of a party jam,” which is why it seemed like the perfect name for his latest tour, which he is happening now and runs through October 15th.
