Thomas Rhett just celebrated six weeks at #1 with his last single, “Die A Happy Man.” It’s a song he was inspired to write about his wife Lauren, after she challenged him to write more sweet songs. Unfortunately Thomas wasn’t there when Lauren first heard the song. He explains, “I actually sent her an email of the demo at like four in the morning when we finished it on the bus. But when she woke up, she was like, ‘This is hands down one of the best songs you’ve ever written.’ And she’s only really said that two other times in my life, so I guess I don’t write that many great songs.”
In all seriousness, Thomas was happy she loved the song, and while he never could have predicted it would have held the #1 spot on the charts for six weeks, he says, “I think we all knew immediately, even when I played it for the label and management, we all knew we had something really special.”
Thomas just released his brand new single, “T-shirt,” which is a very beat-driven, danceable, summer feeling track off his latest album, Tangled Up.

- Thomas Rhett new single “T-Shirt” already sits in the top 30 on the country charts this week just weeks after its release. The song is at number 29 on Mediabase.
- Rhett is off to Europe on tour to play shows in the U.K, Ireland and Germany. He plans on taking an extended vacation with his wife Lauren to visit other countries as well.
