(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY CHANGED FOR THE BETTER BY FATHERHOOD

Thomas Rhett has been a father now for about a year and a half, bringing home his adopted daughter, Willa Gray, in May 2017, and welcoming his baby girl, Ada James, into the world in August 2017.  Understandably, he says fatherhood has changed his entire world.  “I think getting used to that kids are the new normal because they change your life in all ways and all for the better,” says Thomas.  “The person I am today is not the person I was a year ago. I’ve learned a severe amount of patience.  A lot of little things don’t bother me anymore because so many little things happen now. And so it’s been a pretty wild year.”

When he first became a father of two, Thomas says, “I was like, ‘Alright babe, we’re done.  Two, I can’t do any more than two.’ And now that I’ve had two I’m like, ‘What’s three gonna hurt?’ You know, we’ll see.”

Ironically, Thomas’ latest single, “Sixteen,” is all about wishing to be older, until he wishes he could go back to being younger, because now that he’s a parent, he says, “I don’t want to wish them to grow older but I really am so excited for them to start getting involved in sports or music or whatever they want to do so I can really dive in it with them and help them achieve what they want to do.”

Willa just celebrated her third birthday on November 1st, so it won’t be long before she’s able to get involved in pee wee sports or childhood music lessons.
