Thomas Rhett is touring this spring with Jason Aldean, but last year he was out on the road with Florida Georgia Line and he made good use of his time when he was out on the road with his buddies, writing a lot of songs together. Thinking back to the tour, Thomas says, “Some days we’ll wake up about 10 o’clock and I’ll get a text from Tyler sayin’, ‘Hey, dude let’s go write a song’ and those guys are really good at writin’ songs and they have a really hard work ethic, so as much as we can, as much as we have other songwriters on the road, we definitely write songs and hopefully they get some cuts on my record and hopefully I get some cuts on their record.”
Thomas co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s #1 song, “Round Here,” so they have a history of song success together in the past. Thomas’ brand new single, “T-shirt,” has just begun its ascent up the country singles charts, following the six-week #1 success of his last single, “Die A Happy Man.”
