(AUDIO) THOMAS RHETT IS GETTING AS MUCH ADVICE FROM OTHER COUNTRY STAR PARENTS AS HE CAN BEFORE HIS TWO KIDS ARRIVE

In the next several months, Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren will bring home an adopted child from Africa, and Lauren will give birth to a baby girl, which is due in August.  Needless to say, Thomas is getting as much advice as he can from other country star parents, and he says, “Dierks (Bentley) said, ‘Don’t be afraid if you drink four Red Bulls a day.’  And I’ve watched Dierks drink a lot of Red Bulls.”

Thomas realizes it will be a huge adjustment to going from being a couple to a family of four.  He says, “When you have two more humans that you’re responsible for, your life I think just changes.  There’s nothing you can really do to get ready for it.”

Thomas says everyone he talks to pretty much tells him the same thing, “’Like you can read books and you can talk to me as much as you want but you’re going to be a different parent than I am and just like I’m going to be a different parent than you are.’  So I think just the best advice is kind of take it as it comes and just realize that you’re gonna be exhausted.”

Besides awaiting the arrival of his two children, Thomas just released his brand new single, “Craving You,” with Maren Morris, and he’s in the midst of finishing up his next album, which he’ll release later this year.  Plus, he’s out on the road headlining The Home Team Tour with Kelsea Ballerini, Ryan Hurd and Russell Dickerson.

Thomas Rhett – baby advice from other stars  :31

“Dierks said, ‘Don’t be afraid if you drink four Red Bulls a day.’  And I’ve watched Dierks drink a lot of Red Bulls.  But you know, it’s just that they say it just takes a lot of getting used to. You know when you’ve lived this lifestyle for, this is going on five years now it’s just been my wife and I and our two dogs.  And so when you have two more humans that you’re responsible for your life, I think, just changes.  There’s nothing you can really do to get ready for it.  Like you can read books and you can talk to me as much as you want but you’re going to be a different parent than I am and just like I’m going to be a different parent than you are.  So I think just the best advice is kind of take it as it comes and just realize that you’re gonna be exhausted.”
