Late last week, Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren welcomed their adopted baby girl, Willa Gray, into the their home. Willa will get to spend about three months alone with her parents before Lauren gives birth to her little sister, who is due in August. Once Thomas and Lauren had decided to adopt Willa over a year ago from Uganda, he set about remodeling his tour bus to accommodate his family, including their two dogs, Cash and Kona, but at the time he didn’t realize there would be a second baby in the picture because Lauren didn’t know she was pregnant yet. Thomas says, “We took one whole side of bunks out and made a crib and like drawers. And then on the other side we knocked out two bunks and put two dog crates under there, so literally there’s one bunk left on our bus. But we’re now gonna have to get rid of the dog crates and probably add another crib because of the two babies, so it’s pretty nuts.”
Thomas, whose song, “Craving You,” is in the top 20 and heading toward the top of the charts, may get the chance to try out the new family bus when he heads back out on the road this weekend for a show in Madison, Mississippi.
